sorry, i can't say i agree with that. it's more a matter of sweeping things under the carpet with players like the zandens, or the ayres, (with it's "listen" mode), their final sound dependent on analog output stages designed to round-off sonic aberrations, rather than ensuring greater readout accuracy at the data retrival stage.

p.s. jerome syndrome affects itunes on laptop too... that should give you food for thought. so if you are catching my drift about the toc memory thing, it's obvious that it is something that needs to be addressed at the reading software stage.
