Gee, you guys are really over - analyzing an ad

It's a competent piece of advertising art, possibly by Al Dorne but I'm not expert enough to say for sure. It's obviously a beer ad: everything in the composition draws your eye to the tray of beer bottles (for example, the upper left arm of the woman in the gold dress is practically an arrow pointing at the tray). The stereo and records are not the product being pushed so they're suggested rather than detailed. If this was an ad for records or audio gear it would have been completely different. As Mr. Marks noted, commercial artists in the pre - internet era obsessively clipped and filed photos of everything for reference. The artist likely had a folder of pictures titled "radios and hi - fis" in a file cabinet in his studio.
