RE: Is there a missing "WOW!" switch in the generation in their 40's and below ?..

"Do you remember that moment (or several) in time when you/I heard true high fidelety? I do."

No, I don't. And that is the biggest problem. For most there IS no WOW moment.

I learned to appreciate "good sound" because my father was a music and audio nut. We had a killer system consisting of Quad ESLs/Quad tube amps, Revox reel to reel etc.

He never sat me down and told me what to listen for etc UNTIL I showed some interest.

When I would hear music in places outside of the home, it just did NOT sound the same...so I realized there are gradations of quality.

So, again, you can sit people in your listening chair for days on end..they just won't get it in 99% of the time.

You know what? Fine. It is an esoteric, shrinking hobby, so be it.
