I answered your question, now here's one for you

In my modest collection of recordings, I've noticed that there is a wide variation in the way both vinyl and cds are made in regard to their "spectral balance." For me, the sound I "like" is that which reminds me most of actual musical instruments as I remember them. I therefore find it necessary to compensate for these differences, in my case using a graphic equalizer. Do you notice these differences as well, do you compensate for them when you listen, and if so, how do you do it?
