Your post is excellent

I like having the measurements too. I lean a little to the technical side, I admit.
My best friend is an audiophile also. He goes back to the mid-late 70's. No matter what I do to expalain what the measurements are and what they mean, he cannot grasp and understand them. For the most part he ignores them. Because he cannot understand them, he tends to view them as unnecessary. That's ok for him.
I wonder how many people trash the value of measurements because they do not understand them? I admit that when I was in engineering school, it took awhile for some things to sink in. But it was 90% heavy math so don't hold it against me!
My first semester of Circuit Theory, we studied vacuum tubes for about a week. When I tell this to the young graduates I meet, they cannot believe it. They think tubes are for grandpas!
