Of course I'm fighting imbalance with imbalance :-)

Thought that would be obvious. But for us inmates, the Music Direct "reality" is at least as real as the Amazon one, point being that there has been an undeniable, amazing renaissance in vinyl over the past decade or so. And it shows no sign of waning.

On the other hand the decline of CD in recent years is all too obvious to anyone walking the aisles of a typical Tower Records (where did all those racks go?). Maybe not yet an issue in Mom and Pop Record stores, but geez, tell me where to find one. The real action is clearly in DVD, and you really have to squint to view that as good news for the music lover.
