Makes total sense. While the show may have been more enjoyable in altered circumstances, one needs a very clear head to deal with any potential problems. "The show must go on!" and all that. One wouldn't last very long as a roadie if one channel cut-out and the response was from out of a Cheech & Chong movie - "Oh wow, man! That's far out..."
