Feedback ubiquity

Negative feedback is part of nature and control theory predates the recorded music industry so it is no surprise that it is ubiquitous.

Your idea of testing feedback audibility by introducing a feedback amplifier into a chain is very interesting. You can't really turn an amplifier designed for lots of feedback into one with none and vice versa so I've always thought the comparison a non-starter. But testing the audibility of a "blameless" high feedback amplifier in series with a non-feedback amplifier is an intriguing one.
