In Letters to the Editor in this month's Ab Snd, MQA is explained very simply.

They said it was about errors introduced by the ADC, before mixing or mastering.
They say MQA fixes that.
Some have compared their own recordings with an MQA version, they liked MQA better.
I'm sure you and others here disagree.
I have no idea, but I'm interested.
Maybe a Meridian Explorer for Streaming.
