I goofed on the original post. I rarely visit the Steve Hoffman forums and have been on Gearslutz a lot lately. Clearly I got mixed up. I'm not really sure if most of the people on SH are pros or lookers-on. Maybe someone that spends more time on SH can enlighten me.
The post I linked was made by a pro (I think), but he may have made a bit of an error, as the mid-side thing would be a decision made by a mixing engineer and not a mastering engineer. (That decision would likely affect how the mastering engineer approached the project, I would think.)
