I don't think Rob Watts is an employee of Chord but seems to have a pretty close relationship. His analog designs relied on the use of as much feedback as possible. At Deltec he designed a hybrid opamp for that purpose and, IIRC, they had an SMD machine make them used them where ever possible. On the other had he's always been a big proponent of cables and subjective performance.
