But it did win its own category. Or, more precisely, it won jointly with the Wilson Alexx. The overall product of the year was the Kii Audio 3.

The odd thing is that the DeVore was reviewed again within the 2016/17 year which made it eligible for inclusion, the original review having been as you say, in 2012.

The 2017 review of the O/96 was not a full one but a "Follow Up" which in Stereophile normally means that the original review required expansion as some aspect of the component was unable to be explored originally or where it had been updated subsequently. Neither aspect appears to have been the cause of Jim Austin's 2017 review, merely the fact that he had got a pair. By that token the same product could feasibly become a category winner every year.
