RE: greatly improved time domain accuracy and reduced temporal blur

vandersteen still does first order crossovers. Types of designs come and go. It doesn't have too much to do with how accurate they are. Lots of discerning audiophiles with deep pockets love Wilson which means they're about as discerning as high school kids with big subs in the trunk. B&W is another big brand that makes stuff with lots of not terribly subtle flaws. The "ear test" is really the luxury, exclusivity, vanity test.

Klipsch still uses horns in most models and there are 13 places within about an hour of me that sell klipsch, not including Best Buys. Of course their heritage line is low volume. good grief.
