I still think that there are 'unknown factors or flaws' in all audio design areas. If there were not, then further research would be pointless. In audio amp/preamp design, I think that PIM or FM distortion is seriously overlooked, and it may be a key to making better amps, BUT where do we get the test equipment to measure it to the level that we need?
