For example. In one of the recent threads below Atkinson himself has already vouched for Stereophile reviewers' listening skills by stating most of his reviewers either play a musical instrument or sing in a choir.

If you're now wondering whether any past or present members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir might qualify to review for Stereophile magazine, you're a little slow. For I've alreadying been wondering about the multitudes who sing in the shower or on their way to work, or if perhaps whistling qualifies.

I guess to some "high-end" audio really is just a fun little hobby.
