Discuss a review. Provide constructive feedback. Talk to the industry.

I mostly agree, but

I accept that having a nice stereo and continually tweaking and changing it and flipping components is a hobby for some audiophiles.

However, for many other audiophiles, it isn't a "hobby", but rather a way to listen to good recordings on a good system, and we might occasionally get a new piece of gear for some reason.

Maybe there ought to be another AA forum member category: Audio Hobbyist. ;)

But anyway, I totally agree on the "job" of the mags. Rick W is way off base in his dumbfounding assertion that the mags should have Blacks and Women in order to "attract" a wider audience. That's a load of racist/gender crap. Anyone who is simple-headed enough to only read audio reviews BECAUSE it was written by a Black or a Woman or a Mexican or a Korean or an Arab or a Whatever probably won't be part of the mag's audience anyway.

:)
