Of course it was extreme

It was extreme in response to the extreme, "Think about how black people sre [sic] the outsiders of our world" comment.

In what world does BubbaMike live in where black people are outsiders? Certainly not in the workplace I'm in, or any stores, hotels, or restaurants I frequent.

I believe he honestly believes that this heavy air of oppression still exists though, because we're being told it does, by people who make an easy living by keeping that concept alive, and keeping people angry. I'm not suggesting for a moment that racism no longer exists. But what I am saying is that it's in some people's best interest to keep the masses believing it's 99%, rather than 1%. Like Deep Throat told Woodward and Bernstein, "Follow the money".

As to your original post topic, if you have evidence of a stack of qualified resumes from minorities sitting on some magazine publisher's desk, being dismissed because the applicant is a minority, I'd say you have something. But otherwise, I see what you're suggesting as tokenism.
