No disrespect, but your reading comprehension in THIS instance failed you and I'm sorry to say that you're wrong on both counts. He didn't give you shit for not jumping on bandwagons, he merely tried to explain (whether he's right on this or not is a different matter) that the lack of a competitive nature in women as compared to men, diminishes women's desire to be the first in discovering things. That's all - no more no less and I'm inclined to agree with him on this.
As far as his questioning of whether women should be reviewers, where exactly was this implied or even explicitly stated by Hansen? if anything, he did state that women have better hearing acuity than men - I tend to agree with him on this one too.
We all get a bit touchy on public forums as our perception of being slighted is a bit more sensitive when everybody's watching, but in this instance you personally were not attacked in the least and I'm confident that this view is shared by the majority here.
