No one critieria makes a good speaker, saying only pistonic drivers can make a good speaker, is no different than high feedback advocates claiming low distortion so it must be good ..

All single point source monkey coffin speakers are laterals IMO , differences based on setup
Only Horns and linesource if one is serious about "realism " of sound .. All this talk about Avalon , B&W , Magico , WA , et al are all laterals , pick your poison, the big WA does wake up a bit and the very large Multi tower stuff can work , but for the most part large linesource or horns And yes they have their issues and yes not all are good , but when done right they deliver ..
