No, there is a post down the page that mentioned the Otvos speakers. It's been a long time since they were a big deal, so I re-read the review. What I found was such a blatant reversal of what JA is saying now that I felt it worthy of its own thread instead of being buried down in some sub-sub-sub-sub thread. (link below)

I already designed the Pono Player for $400. I personally know of dozens of people that replaced their CD players between $3000 and $5000 with the Pono Player, largely because it sounded much better. Unfortunately Pono knew nothing about marketing hardware. They just tried to use it as a tool to sell high-res downloads. The only part of Pono that made any money was the player, but they never recognized the thing that Apple had figured out over a decade earlier - iTunes and the iTunes Store was a loss-leader designed to sell iPods, iPads, and iPhones, as there is more money to be made in hardware than in software. (Why do you think all upgrades to OS-X are free?)

There is no indication that my posts are hurting sales - only feelings. That's OK by me if it improves the health of the high-end audio industry.
