Oh ye of little faith...

...you might be underestimating your audience. I'm sure some of us would love to hear your thoughts on the matter. Might even provide insights as to your apparent dislike of op amps. Probably not a good subject for "Critics Corner" however.

And yes, I've seen designs where external comp cap was used when IC mfgr provided for it. Almost always the value was mfgrs rec for non inv unity gain app so probably not optimum for specific app.
