I basically agree with what Mel said. But I'd be interested in seeing.....

a list of hifi companies based in democratic countries whose products are made entirely from parts produced in relatively high wage societies and likewise assembled by workers paid a much higher than poverty level living wage. I'd be inclined to buy their products even though I agree with Mel about the history of U.S. labor as it relates to what goes on in China now.

Wonder how many such companies there are.
