Looking at KEF's site, I see they have now applied DSP-based time alignment to their powered version of the LS50:
"With LS50 Wireless' advanced time correcting DSP crossover and the unique sound dispersion abilities of Uni-Q, time corrected accurate sound can be achieved in different types of rooms. This is a feat that cannot be reproduced by any other active speaker."
It also appears to offer RCA analog and a variety of digital inputs, along with low frequency EQ for a variety of room placements.
It would be really nice to see a comprehensive review and measurement suite on these, with direct comparison both to the passive model many of your reviewers already own and love and to powered DSP monitors like the Dynaudio and the Kii. Hint, hint.
