RE: Understanding Stereophile's Top 500

I understand the "Top 500" alright! It's okay if you are very bored, have nothing better to do, and don't mind reading through pages upon pages of old trite bullshit.

IMO the "TOP 500" is mostly filler material, intended by the editor(s) to fatten up an issue that is pretty thin to begin with.

I'd much prefer it if Stereophile reverted back to the format that it had when JGH ran the show, and I don't give a flying' fuck about how much JA brags that he's greatly increased circulation. Surely any rag can dramatically increase its circulation if the powers that be decide to give subscriptions away, but that's merely a ploy with which to increase ad revenue.

Give back the old Stereophile, that's all I ask
