Understanding Stereophile's Top 500

Hi,
I just got the new Stereophile. The new October issue has the 500 best components list, and I started to read.
A new rank was issued and it's not A, but A+. The first 2 components that are listed in (A+) are 2 turntables, the Techdas Air Force 1 and the VPI Classic Direct turntable.
In both paragraphs these A+ turntables fall short of one they are compared to, the Continuum Caliburn. The Techdas didn't sound as smooth and the VPI came as close but did not better the Caliburn.
I could not find the Caliburn in the listing but do have the old Stereophile issue with the review. Without a Google search is the Caliburn still on the market?
For the new subscriber reading the 500 list wouldn't they wonder what is this Continuum Caliburn, not listed, that seems to best the new A+ catagory. Has the progression of the state of the art been lowered?
I do remember when the Caliburn was reviewed the Rockport turntable seemed to have been missing from the list. Are the Caliburn and Rockport tables no more?
I did read (How Recommendations are Determined) on the first page but am still foggy on this.
Hey, thanks for any help to a better understanding Stereophiles Top 500 list.....Mark Korda.
