Amazon is selling the Meridian Explorer2 DAC for $199. Not a bad deal considering all the included features. You could give MQA a try via Tidal streaming and if you decide it's not worth the money. you still have a nice little DAC. If the Explorer2 DAC sounds anything like the Meridian Direct DAC, which I've owned for the past 3 years, you'll be quite pleased for the money. Just don't get your expectations too high as far as MQA is concerned
Disclaimer: Least anyone think I'm shilling Meridian DACs now, I bought mine for retail on Amazon.
