The list you have pasted has over the top of it:

As I pointed out earlier many of these famous scientists from history, weren't still alive in 1859

To my ever growing list of scientist gone before Darwin's Origin
is Cuvier he died in 1832

As I have pointed out the word evolution, prior to Huxley, and Wallace, and Darwin had a quite different (often manifold) to what we understand it to mean today

I am not surprised many modern scientists, as historically, have difficulty understanding it. Its like "spooky action at a distance" it seems to go against what we would expect. Its also a theory which crosses a number of scientific disciplines, especially the history of its conception.

I think though if people are going to compose lists like this they can have the intellectual honesty of not including people dead at the time of Origin's publication, and not including people who in their writings or practise actually were either ambivalent or tacit supporters, such as Mendel, and Agassiz(later in life)

But the journey of your list, has lead me in wonderful places so thank you again
