I agree that there's kinetic energy in the C. Kleiber performance

It's still not one of my faves though - mainly because of DG's engineering. (Probably wouldn't bother me as much in my car system though!)

BTW, Norman Lebrecht was not the originator of the term "kinetic energy" as applied to performances of classical music. Harris Goldsmith, writing in High Fidelity magazine in the 60's, was a frequent user of the terms "kinetic energy" and "kineticism".
