long thread, OP still never specified what he really wanted!
Honestly, I had not liked C Kleiber VPO 5/7, but loaded into my car and have been listening on commute. Really does have some kinetic energy in the 5th and it carries along (terms I got from reading Norman Lebrecht's review in his book on "birth and death" of classical music. So I might have to revise my opinion (still should listen at home and to the LP).
