not all of the sets that may have some good performances. I recommended just the Wand because it's the only set I've heard that has more than five excellent performances (and only Bohm and Karajan '77 have five, in my experience). (The OP also wasn't clear about whether he planned to buy more than one set).Given that some sets are very cheap these days (and sometimes only available that way), it does make sense to purchase those, even for only three or four performances, as opposed to years ago when it was more logical to buy individual discs. I mostly don't know which sets are cheap vs which ones aren't so I'll just list all of my favorite individual Beethoven symphony performances for whoever might be interested.
