. . . I think most people will easily hear what to me is the horrible overuse of multi-microphones in the 77 recording. I was hoping that the latest blu-ray remastering would tame the synthetic balances and curdled space, but, alas, no luck. (And I see that one of the Amazon posters claims that this new version is merely louder, and that some of the signal has been clipped - can this be true? The loudness wars in pop music coming over to classical? In any case, it sure doesn't sound that great on my system, while the 62/63 version sounds relatively wonderful.)
