Learned this material as a teen w Casadesus/Szell and Brendel (Vox box and Phillips). Also some Serkin (dad), others. I am old. Thanx for your views, maybe spotting flattens.On 21, I also previously posted about Anda w Salzburg Mozarteum, a classic.
On my recording, I "see" Preucil and Josh Smith and Rich King intonating in the tradition but our friend TK says "nein" (pbarach should know what CO sounds like nowadays!). Soundstage notwithstanding, I enjoyed the disc. As I posted before, I experienced the group live 1986-1989 at Severance pre Reno. And each conductor has brought his own take on their sound.
