Ususally you don't hear it, but not always!
Sabine Meyer waves her Clarinet around on Cadenzas, you can hear the Phasey Effect.
Bi-Naurall mostly uses a dense, dummy head to put the mics on.
I had a set-up like that, and also wore the mics at my ears when playing Piano,
it worked, but I prefer normal Stereo.
