Classical Court From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here. |

Some miraculous articulation from the septuagenarian in her new recording of the Diabelli Variations. It's all here...GREAT recording quality, dramatic contrast and poetry perfectly balanced, and about as much animation as one could ask for. After six years (I saw mentioned) without a new recording, it's nice to have a new Mitsuko Uchida recording. BTW, I felt that way about Nelson Freire's late recordings as well -- gifts of wisdom paired with a wonderous technique that defied the years.P.S. - I streamed it pre-release. The CD is out in a month or so.
