Classical Court From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here. |

For those interested in new (-ish, -er) classical music, this Chinese-American composer (b.1945) was not known by me until this morning. He is HIGHLY accomplished -- a star, for those more in the know than me. You can check out his history at Wikipedia. His music is intelligent, well structured, often romantic, occassionally jazzy, really quite beautiful. A generous number of recordings can be streamed at Amazon HD and, perhaps, other streaming services. I discovered him while building up a Jenny Lee playlist (the incredible pianist!).
