Home Classical Court

From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here.

Just to brighten things up a bit...

on a very tragic day of artist losses...Yesterday, I saw an interview by journalist Christiane Amanpour with the last surviving Nuremburg Trial prosecutor Benjamin Ferencz, who is 102 years old and utterly in control of his senses. I have never seen such a lucid human being at that age -- he still has "flexible" thinking...the ability to present ideas with nuance and context. Plus, a steel trap memory that remains liquid...he could answer questions that were factually correct, but could also think actively to place those memories in a current dialog.

He is twice the age of Nicholas Angelich -- the definition of heartening!:-)
