His Piano Sonatas are the nearest to Beethoven's, in terms of style, that I know. Shelley has an excellent survey on Hyperion (modern piano), and Mastroprimiano on Brillian Classics gives the works a lot of character on fortepiano. Brilliant Classics can be streamed, but Hyperion doesn't play well with the streaming services (only provides outright purchases of downloads).
Great stuff!:-) -- a nice change-up from more frequently heard Bach/Mozart/Beethoven, and a bit more ambitious than D. Scarlatti.
