A Bag of Gems -- Poulenc's Chamber Music

In a recent post, I asked for recommendations for compositions similar in "feeling" to the Ravel Piano Concerto slow movement. One recommendation was the Oboe Sonata of Poulenc. So, I dug out this recording from the archives (!:-), as I hadn't listened to it for quite a while. First, the Oboe Sonata certainly met the criteria of slow, dreamy, etc. That said, for a one-stop-shop of compositions that are beautiful, challenging and offer some very unique small ensemble textures, this Hyperion set cannot be beat!
