His stuff is so weird and wonderful that even his full name is a work of art: Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji. The music is SO unique that the cover art they provide for him is downright spectral!:-)
For Sorabji, it's HIS world, and others are simply invited to live in it. For me, that places him in Morton Feldman territory, with just a few extra notes added (LOL)! In other words, harsh terrain...unique, unforgiving, unyielding in its own certainty...and intended for very, very few performers and listeners -- I'm not defending it, I am merely defining it!:-)
I collect every recording that I can get my hands on. Surely, a sign of my own insanity.
