The recent recording of etudes and scherzi of Chopin by Beatrice Rana. I don't recommend too many recordings here partly because as a witty friend said of me " Pete doesn't like anything composed after 1827". So Chopin is not high on my playlist. However a friend who is a professional classical musician and whose taste I admire said I should listen. I am elderly and not exactly given to cliches spoken by younger folks but here goes; O.M.G!
In a world that seems to spew out endless numbers of almost indistinguishable young piano virtuosi IMO Ms. Rana is the real deal. I have written about earlier releases by her but this one is superlative.
