Savall has an earlier recording (1994) of just the Eroica along with the Coriolan Overture. If you like Savall's symphonies, be sure to check out his Coriolan. It might be my favorite recording of the piece. The earlier Eroica is similar in character to the new version, but the sound is more close up and detailed. Those who find the newer release too reverberant may prefer the sound of the older one. I've only heard all of these on Qobuz and I'm referring to the 2-channel stereo mix.
