We're living in a material world, and I am a material squirrel. Sadly, I do not feel that landfills will be the cause of the Earth's (seemingly) imminent demise. My home is carbon positive (simply based upon all-in energy usage), and I maintain a lush botanical paradise outside. My soul is safe (on THAT count, at least)!:-)To wax more philosophical, I do not believe either that personal realization or "leaving the world a better place than it was before I existed" is format dependent...even if it's Hi Rez Surround Sound, which make a greater case for holographic immersion!:-) -- perhaps Dolby Atmos...
I suppose I could aim to limit my engagement with music to a single bamboo flute, koto, shakuhachi and a few singing bowls -- but, then, I would have to play the darned things MYSELF!
