Movies aren't performed start to finish, like a Stage Play.
Nobody complains about that, but have any edits on Music Recording.....
Live Concerts are edited for commercial release.
Recording Sessions are Not Concerts.
People with NO experience with it aren't likely to understand that.
A recording is a Product.
It's meant to be enjoyed at home.
It is NOT an Idealisation of some Live Performance.
Much like a Movie.
