" I'm hoping that the forthcoming releases will be available in hi-rez, "The series of short films being made by dCS and Decca has reference to the use of dCS converters in the digitisation of the Mercury classical catalogue. Of course dCS have pulled out of the ADC market so this initiative seems unrelated to any new and higher res mastering.
What is planned is the entire catalogue being made available to streaming services, some CD re-releases and some titles making it to new LP cuts.
However the old dCS 900 converter did have 24 bit capability so those Mercury hi-res titles already available on Qobuz are 24/96 which presumably was the original digitisation format. This was the re-mastering that resulted in the 2 x 50 CD box sets of a decade or so ago.
Unfortunately for you I would not anticipate MCH.
