True enough. The other factor is that the sale of recordings is usually territorially limited. The company that owns the rights to those Ormandy recordings in the USA is not the same as in Europe, even if it nominally appears to be the same. For example Sony Classical UK is not the same as Sony classical USA , certainly linked but the local company will set its own pricing. Of course when we say "Europe" there may be different trading rules that apply to member states of the EU or to other European third countries. That latter issue may affect what I can buy from Qobuz from 1st January when the UK becomes a third country.
Qobuz told me that the price they are able to offer on sales, in particular any level of discounts available to Sublime members, depends upon what they are able to negotiate with the rights owners. So it looks like someone at Qobuz USA did well for this collection.
