All that I can add its that it looks like it was recorded in London and originally issued by Pye Records in the UK in 1958 (Pye Nixa?). I can only deduce this as excerpts from it were reissued some years later on their budget label "Golden Guinea and later on another of their budget labels "Golden Hour". So Alshire must have been a licensee at some point. Good soloists including Helen Watts and the continuo Hpschd was George Malcolm.
I guess that the budget sound was in line with typical recording techniques of the time.
