there's probably three factors that influenced my impression:
1.) shitty speakers [infamous Insignia 6.5 coaxial bookshelf]
2.) ambivalence [won't go further into that] towards the gifter
3.) my bad attitude at the time
had I not moved I'd probably check them out from the library to re-evaluate on your recommendation ... ah well, another ship that sailed ;}
