The new music director for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will take the reins there beginning with the 2021-2022 season.... He has already made a substantial name for himself with the Oslo Philharmonic and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Perhaps he will bring the RPO back to what it was under Beecham.. I've always loved the sound of the RPO and they always seem to sound good no matter who is in front of them on the podium. Of the London based orchestras they are hands down my favorite....
