Home Classical Court

From Perotin to Prokofiev (and beyond), performed by Caruso to Khatia, it's all here.

Childhood influence

My dad could have cared less about music. He enjoyed country dancing occasionally but never played music on the radio. My mother had a couple of classical albums but mostly pop singers of the 50's. Music was never really ever on in our house.

I started enjoying music by about age 10, the Monkees being my choice of pop. Then I started venturing into classical by age 16 with the loan of a few albums by my brother-in-laws keyboardist. I didn't start to get into jazz until my mid 20's.

Now it's probably 60% classical, 20% jazz, and 20% rock at home. 70/30 classical/rock in the car.
