To all those suggesting I burn or store copies on hard drive: burned CD's do NOT sound better than originals. They do NOT, and it is a ridiculous notion that they can. You are being fooled by errors which to the casual listener mimic enhanced high frequencies but actually add a sort of haze. I have had 3 CD burners. None of them made copies that were better than the originals.
The disc discussed here is already defective. It will not play in a superb CD player or my computer, so it cannot be ripped or saved even if I wanted to. And I don't want to, but thanks for suggestions.
